Me Agnès Felina NJAMBÉ, lawyer at the Cameroon Bar was the second winner of the public speaking competition organized on the occasion of the Congress of the International Conference of Bars (CIB) which was held in Niamey, Niger, from 7 to 9 November 2022. His performance in this competition in which young lawyers took part was remarkable and very much appreciated by the jury of the contest. It was an honor for the Cameroon Bar Association and a pride for the whole country.
Placed under the theme “Political insecurity and legal security”, and under the high patronage of the Heads of State of Niger, Mohamed BAZOUM, and Guinea Bissau, Umaro Mokhtar SISSOCO EMBALÓ, the congress of Niamey knew the participation of several Presidents of the Bar and nearly 500 participants. The Cameroon Bar Association was represented by Me Anne Yolande NGO MINYOGOG, the Bar Secretary, and Mr. TAMO David, in charge of the international relations of the Bar Association.
Preceded by two days of training of the CIFAF, on December 5 and 6, 2022, this congress had in the program, in addition to the protocol part, the introductory presentation of Me Bernard VATIER, former President of the Paris Bar and Secretary General of the CIB, round tables animated by eminent lawyers on the following topics in connection with the general topic of work: “Is legal security guaranteed in case of political instability? “Is the duty to provide security absolute? and “Is the right to security guaranteed in times of political instability? The participants were also able to attend workshops for discussion.
The next conference will be held in Liege, Belgium.
