A Historic Agreement: Strengthening the Ties Between the Cameroon Bar and the Paris Bar

On 25 November 2025, ahead of the solemn reopening of the Paris Bar, the President of the Cameroon Bar Association, accompanied by the Dean of the Bar Council, Barrister Arlette NGOULLA FOTSO, was received by the Council of the Paris Bar for the execution of a cooperation agreement beneficial to the Cameroon Bar.

The key areas identified at this stage include:

  • cooperation,
  • training,
  • professional exchange programs,
  • reciprocal placement within law firms, to name a few.

The Batonnier of Paris reaffirmed the strength of the ties between our two Bar Associations.

In recognition of these longstanding bonds, a Bar medal was presented to the President of the Cameroon Bar by his counterpart.

We seize this opportunity to express our gratitude to the Dean of the Cameroon Bar Council for the decisive role she played in establishing this renewed framework of cooperation with our sister Bar in Paris.

A detailed report on this visit and its implications for our Bar Association will be communicated in due course. This marks the first step in a series of initiatives that promise great prospects for our Bar Association and its members.
