The lawyers of the Cameroon Bar Association are hereby informed that a working session was held on 13 October 2025 in the conference hall of Block A of the Ministry of Finance, at the invitation of the Minister of Finance and at the request of the Bar President.
The meeting aimed to examine the proposals of the Cameroon Bar Association concerning the preparation of the finance law for the 2026 financial year.
It followed with the submission of these proposals to the Minister of Finance. This meeting was chaired by the Director of the Legal Affairs Division of the Ministry of Finance and brought together all staff of the Ministry responsible for tax matters.
The Bar President expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to inclusivity, which has been experienced by the Cameroon Bar Association and was once again demonstrated during these discussions, which took place in a friendly and cordial atmosphere.

He seized this opportunity to reiterate his commitment and that of the Bar Council to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors in working to achieve not only a tax framework for professional practice that is conducive to the development of lawyers, but also to the economic growth of Cameroon.
The Bar president call on “the driving forces of the Bar” to support these initiatives in order to contribute to the adoption of modern legislation that is not only favourable to the profession, but above all in line with the requirements of a globalised world where Cameroon deserves to have a prominent place in terms of its legislative framework.
