It was on August 11, 2022 at the headquarters of the Bar in Yaoundé.
It was the second time that the 15 members of the Bar Council met in an ordinary session convened by the Bar President, Me MBAH Eric MBAH, since their election at the General Assembly of 19 and 20 June 2022.
On this occasion, the Bar President informed the audience about the activities he has carried out since the last session. In particular, the reception of the Ambassador of the United States of America in Yaounde, H.E. Christopher John LAMORA, and the audience granted to him by the Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Cameroon, Mr. Philippe Van DAMME. The exchanges between Me MBAH Eric MBAH and the two heads of diplomatic missions focused on cooperation relations with the Cameroon Bar Association.
The Bar Council also examined a certain number of draft resolutions concerning, in particular, the establishment of a Council of Elders within the Bar, the intervention of Lawyers in the media and social networks and the respect by Lawyers of their dress. These projects were the subject of intense exchanges between the members of the Bar Council.
Following this session, the members of the Bar Council were received in audience by the Minister of State, Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Laurent ESSO.
