H.E CHRISTOPHER JOHN LAMORA, Ambassador of the United States of America to Cameroon, met with the new Executive of the Cameroon Bar Association (elected in June 2022) on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, during a courtesy visit. It was an opportunity to celebrate again the existing friendship between the two parties.
The American delegation, warmly welcomed by Me MBAH ERIC MBAH, President of the Bar, was invited to the presentation of the staff of the Head Office of the Bar in the office of the President of the Commission of Human Rights and Freedoms of the Bar (Coordinator of the Project BARREAU/PALAGIPEL-CBA). The meeting began with a presentation of the evolution of the “BARREAU/PALAGIPEL-CBA” project, jointly managed by the Cameroon Bar Association and the United States Embassy in Cameroon. After meeting with the permanent staff, the Ambassador had the opportunity to meet with the other members of the Bar Council (the President’s team for a two-year term) in the Bar’s meeting room.
The Bar President unveiled the portraits of his predecessors and in the same vein, the Ambassador introduced his collaborators (his legal affairs manager and his personal assistant). This was followed by a photo session on the esplanade of the building housing the Order’s services.
After this presentation, an exchange between the Bar President and the Ambassador took place on the points of collaboration between the Embassy of the United States of America and the Bar Association.
Due to time constraints, the Ambassador and his delegation left for other requirements, but not without thanking the President and his team for the warm welcome and the good stay at the headquarters of the Cameroon Bar Association.
The Bar Secretary
